James Freeman
Executive Chef
James is a Minnesota-born-and-raised Chef. Having spent many years working as a culinary professional, he has been with Morrissey Hospitality for three years at a variety of locations. He plans to use his experience in the industry to someday open his own restaurant. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hockey and skating in the winter, spending time with his family and friends, and trying new local food establishments.

We do! Reservations can be made on the Stockyards website, or by calling 651.538.1441. While we have plenty of room at Stockyards, we highly recommend making reservations — especially during peak hours and on weekends.
Our patio seating is available on a first-come-first-served basis. We do, however, accept patio requests, and honor these requests in the order they are received, weather-permitting, and to the best of our ability.
Absolutely! Well-behaved pups are more than welcome on our patio. Bring your furry friend and enjoy a meal in the fresh air together!
Stockyards does not have a dress code. We have a casual but upscale vibe, and want our guests to wear clothes that make them feel comfortable. We encourage good judgment and remind our guests that it’s cold in Minnesota! 😊
Stockyards Tavern & Chophouse is conveniently located at 456 Concord Exchange S., South St. Paul, MN, 55075. We are centrally located to just about everything in the Twin Cities — just off 494 and Concord, across from the Kwik Trip on Concord Exchange.
Stockyards has a large parking lot and ample free street parking.
Every hour is happy hour at Stockyards! Our true Happy Hour with appetizer and drink specials is Sunday – Thursday from 2-6pm

Short answer, yes. We allow cakes made by a licensed bakery or commercial kitchen and accompanied by a receipt. We charge a $2.50/person fee for outside desserts. Call 651.350.7743 for more information.
